Royer Mountain - Retail

To get anywhere from our farm we cross at least one mountain. One we traverse often is Royer Mountain, and we chose that as the name for this cellar-aged cheese. Our mountains are nothing like the Alps, neither is our alpine-style cheese like any other. Our aging process gives this cheese an Italian twist with a Romano flavor, so perhaps it is the Italian Alps? We love the sharp and yet smooth texture of this cheese. Royer Mountain received a bronze medal in best of show and first prize in the semi-hard and hard cheese category at the 2018 Pennsylvania Farm Show cheese competition.
